Zepto Store fined for violating waste segregation rules
Bengaluru: A Zepto store in Horamavu was Sunday fined Rs 15,000 for violating waste segregation norms during a regular inspection by marshals and officials of the Bengaluru East City Corporation.The action was taken at the Zepto store (bulk waste genarator) near Raghavendra Circle in Ward 25, Horamavu, as part of the civic body’s routine inspections to check compliance with waste management rules.Officials found that wet and dry waste had not been segregated as required under solid waste management rules.The action comes as civic authorities continue regular enforcement of source segregation rules across the city and check commercial establishments for compliance with waste management norms.
