Heavy Rain Unlikely In Kol In Next 3 To 4 Days: Met

Kolkata: Kolkata remained partly cloudy and humid with one or two light spells of rain on Saturday.With no major system in the region, it will continue to be humid and cloudy for the next three to four days, said the Met office. Kolkata recorded a maximum temperature of 31.2°C on Saturday and a minimum of 27.1°CThe city recorded 6.3 mm of rain on Saturday.“The city will remain cloudy and receive intermittent rain this week. Since no major system is in sight, heavy spells are unlikely. Thunderstorms and rain, however, continue in districts like Murshidabad, Nadia and East Burdwan.The monsoon trough, too, has moved down south and will have no immediate impact on the weather,” said HR Biswas, deputy director-general of meteorology.Maximum relative humidity touched 95% on Saturday. The mercury is likely to increase by a degree and touch 32°C on Sunday, said the Regional Meteorological Centre, Alipore.
