Jaisalmer: Team Oran organised a four-day *‘Save the Ponds Yatra’ and Pond Conservation Felicitation Programme* in Jaisalmer from September 5 to 8 to create awareness about the conservation of traditional water bodies and highlight their historical and ecological importance.The yatra began from *Joshisar Pond* in Jaisalmer city, with Oran conservation enthusiasts visiting several ponds to assess their present condition. At some locations, participants also carried out voluntary labour and cleaning activities as part of efforts to revive and protect the traditional water sources.A major part of the programme was held at the historic *Gadisar Pond*, where participants undertook a cleanliness drive. People who have been working for the cleaning, restoration and maintenance of ponds and wells in different villages of Jaisalmer district were felicitated for their contribution.
