Bengaluru: Suspended Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) chairperson Shivashankarappa S Sahukar appeared before CID again Thursday night over the alleged veterinary officers’ examination scam.He was questioned for a couple of hours before being served a notice to appear again. “We also issued a notice to Shantha Hosamani, a KPSC member, and she failed to appear. A search is on for her,” a senior officer said.Sahukar’s appearance before CID came after he approached the high court seeking anticipatory bail after a special court rejected his plea. In his petition, he sought an interim order which the high court turned down Thursday.Public prosecutor BN Jagadeesha submitted some documents, including those concerning the alleged suppression of information about his daughter securing a job.Kannale taken to Devanahalli villaBasavaraj N Kannale, who has been arrested along with IAS officer Gyanendra Kumar Gangwar in the scam, was taken to a villa at Devanahalli Friday. A senior officer said Kannale was taken to the place for a spot inspection.“The questioning of Gangwar is continuing. Their custody ends on Sept 9, and we have to produce them before the court. If required, we will seek an extension of their custody,” the officer added.Kannale was also taken to his house at Sanjay Nagar Thursday. CID officials are tight-lipped on the role of two other IAS officers and a journalist.
