Noida: Foul-smelling sewage has spilled onto the streets of some neighbourhoods of Greater Noida, leaving residents navigating stagnant wastewater and raising concerns over sanitation and disease risks.The overflow reported over the past couple of days has also disrupted movement in the affected areas.In Beta 1, residents said sewage has been accumulating in front of House No. D-48 for nearly a week. Harinder Bhati, general secretary of the sector’s RWA, urged GNIDA’s sewer department to resolve the issue. Residents also flagged sewage water accumulation near House No. C-422, close to Rampur market, making it difficult to use the 18-metre-wide road.Bhati said water from the market has accumulated on the stretch and alleged food delivery workers often park or gather there, further obstructing the road. Despite a written complaint to GNIDA, there has been no redressal.Omicron 1 and Mathurapur have been facing similar issues. The RWA president of the sector said that the authority has only taken token measures but needs to address the root cause and fix sewer networks.
