New Delhi: After parts of the city saw an intense spell of showers Tuesday evening, there are chances of light to moderate rain along with thunderstorms and lightning Wednesday.From 8.30 am to 5.30 pm, Pushp Vihar logged 3 mm of rainfall while Lodhi Road saw just trace rainfall. However, most stations saw rainfall later in the evening. Between 5.30 pm and 8.30 pm, Palam received 58 mm, Nairana 29 mm and Janakpuri 7.5 mm of rainfall.The Met department has predicted that rain is likely to continue till Friday, but it is unlikely during the weekend. No colour-coded warning has been issued in this regard.The maximum temperature rose to 36 degrees Celsius Tuesday, two notches above normal. The heat index or he ‘feels like’ temperature stood at 42.2 degrees at 2.30 pm. The maximum temperature is expected to remain between 32 and 34 degrees Wednesday.The minimum temperature was recorded at 27.8 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal.
