Lucknow: Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) president and Union minister Jayant Chaudhary on Sunday urged party workers to strengthen the organisation in Awadh and eastern Uttar Pradesh.Addressing a felicitation programme organised by party leader BK Shukla at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Chaudhary described the gathering as an important opportunity for direct interaction with party workers and asked them to remain active at the grassroots level and engage with different sections of society to expand the party’s reach.Highlighting the party’s future plans, Chaudhary said RLD, which has traditionally enjoyed strong support in western Uttar Pradesh, was now focusing on increasing its presence in Awadh and Purvanchal. He also stressed the need to strengthen ties with farmers, youths, teachers and other social groups.During the event, Chaudhary thanked Shukla for organising the programme and welcomed his association with the party, saying the inclusion of experienced educators and social workers would further strengthen the organisation.
