Chennai: Two men from Arunachal Pradesh were arrested for smuggling 36g of heroin by train at Chintadripet.The accused were identified as Bimal Chakma, 38, and Bhaskar Gayan, 30. Both were employed at a private company in Kundrathur in Chennai.According to police, the duo travelled to Assam, procured heroin and brought it to Chennai by train. Acting on a specific tip, Chintadripet police intercepted and arrested them.Police seized 36g of heroin from their possession. Further investigation was under way to establish the source of the drug and identify others involved in the smuggling network.
