Decide on Mansa road quality plaint in 2 weeks: HC to vigilance | Chandigarh News



Bathinda: The Punjab and Haryana high court has directed Punjab vigilance bureau director to consider and pass an appropriate order on a representation about alleged irregularities in the construction of a road in Mansa within two weeks.A single bench of Justice NS Shekhawat disposed of the petition by Mansa residents Gurlabh Singh Mahal, Manik Goyal and others on Thursday.The petitioners said they had made a representation to the director on Aug 16 for action against those responsible for irregularities in the construction of the 700 feet long road leading to the district administrative complex and district courts. They said its top layer had started peeling off just months after its construction.The matter was also brought to the notice of municipal council and district administration. A technical committee formed by the deputy commissioner mentioned irregularities and named a few council employees in a report sent to the director, local govt department. The petitioners had demanded action against all those responsible for the inferior quality of the road.
