Hyderabad: Vera Vita Living LLP, set up by the scions of prominent business families of Hyderabad, has announced its entry into India’s premium senior living market with plans to invest ₹600 crore over the next five years to build hospitality-led residential communities across the country.Founded by Arudradev Rao, Dhruv Badruka and Tanay Saboo, the company on Thursday announced plans to develop its first project, Amaya, along the Outer Ring Road growth corridor near the Kandlakoya reserve forest.Vera Vita said it has identified about 1.5 million sq ft of development potential in Hyderabad and is evaluating expansion opportunities in Visakhapatnam, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coonoor and Pune.In Hyderabad, it will be setting up Amaya on a 13-acre parcel of land with the first phase spread over about three acres and comprising 256 residences. The homes will be offered in configurations starting from 1BHK up to 3.5BHK, ranging from about 950 sq ft to 2,400 sq ft.Planned facilities include a premium clubhouse, dining options, wellness and fitness spaces, landscaped gardens, walking trails, recreation areas, preventive healthcare, physiotherapy, emergency response, housekeeping, maintenance and concierge services.Rao said the project is designed to offer seniors independence, dignity, choice, companionship and peace of mind, with support services operating in the background.Badruka said senior living in India is evolving as India ages and older residents become more financially independent, socially active and focused on health and wellness.Saboo said while there are currently around 20,000 units of senior living homes in India’s organised sector, there is a demand for around 2 lakh units across urban India, which Amaya intends to tap.The company said Hyderabad was chosen for its healthcare infrastructure, favourable climate, improving connectivity, lower congestion and availability of larger land parcels for green, low-density communities.It also cited the city’s technology workforce, business families, large NRI base and retired professionals, especially in the defence sector, as factors driving demand for dependable senior living options.
