Kolkata: Bengal Police’s Special Task Force (STF) on Wednesday made another arrest as part of its investigation into the alleged ISI-linked spy module operating from Topsia in Kolkata, taking the total number of arrests as part of the probe to four.Zafar, alias Sunny, was arrested for allegedly helping Pakistani national Rana Rouf illegally enter India through the India-Nepal border in Raxaul along with Mohd Ejaz Ahmed and Imran Hossain, who were arrested earlier.Zafar is also accused of familiarising Rouf with strategic locations, including some railway stations, according to STF officials. Investigators said Rouf had attempted to acquire maps of defence infrastructure and take photos and videos.Rouf was, however, unable to gather a significant amount of information because CCTVs got in his way, officials said, adding this was potentially why he was sent back to Kolkata six months after leaving once.In the past month, Bengal STF has arrested 12 people with links to four separate alleged spying and terror organisations.
