Amritsar: Akal Takht officiating jathedar Giani Kuldip Singh Gargajj congratulated Southall-based Punjabi-origin Sikh Arshdeep Singh and his parents, Jagdeep Singh and Gagandeep Kaur, on his achievement of becoming a flight lieutenant in the UK Royal Air Force (RAF).Gargajj said it was a matter of pride that a Sikh had attained a senior rank in the UK RAF after a long gap, noting that the previous such achievement was during World War II.He said it was particularly gratifying that Arshdeep and his family, despite living abroad, remained connected with Sikh traditions and the Punjabi language.Gargajj urged Sikh youth to draw inspiration from Arshdeep and pursue success through quality education and hard work.
