Pune: The city is likely to receive only light to very light rain over the next few days, with IMD forecasting partly cloudy skies becoming generally cloudy towards the afternoon or evening and a possibility of very light to light rain.An India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said parts of the state were likely to see isolated to scattered rainfall during the Aug 18-23 period. Among these parts are Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada.The weather office said maximum temperatures over Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada were likely to remain largely unchanged for the next three days, followed by a gradual rise. In Vidarbha, maximum temperatures are likely to remain stable for the next 48 hours before rising by 2-4°C over subsequent days. Minimum temperatures across Maharashtra are likely to see no significant change over the next five days.In Pune, the maximum temperature was 27.4°C on Monday, 0.2 degrees below normal, while the minimum was 21.7°C, 0.1 degrees below normal. The city recorded 0.1mm rainfall till 5:30 pm on Monday.The IMD forecast stated that the maximum temperatures were expected to rise from around 28°C on Tuesday to 30°C by Aug 22-23. The minimum temperatures are likely to remain around 22-24°C.
