Jaipur: Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO) has initiated plans to introduce “plug-and-play” facilities across divisional levels in the state, along with a dedicated development in Kishangarh. It has identified land parcels in industrial zones for developing these facilities.The selected plots will be allotted through an online e-auction process on a rental basis for an initial period of 15 years, extendable by another 10 years. The base rental rate will begin at 5% per annum of the prevailing land rate in the respective industrial area, with an annual increment of 5% on the initial rent.The initiative aims to simplify the process of setting up industries by offering ready-to-use infrastructure in industrial areas, enabling micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to begin operations quickly and at a lower cost. SrikantaThese modern plug-and-play facilities will be established in key industrial zones, including Sitapura Industrial Area Phase III in Jaipur, Karni Industrial Area in Bikaner, the Agro Food Park at Boranda, Braj Industrial Area in Bharatpur, Khoda Industrial Area, IID Centre Kaladwas in Udaipur, Agro Food Park Ranpur in Kota, and IT Park Makadwali in Ajmer.RIICO has already taken steps to implement the plug-and-play model. At Sitapura in Jaipur, ready-to-move modules in a flatted factory complex have been opened for allocation, with 14 modules already allotted on a licence basis.Additionally, in the Borawas Kalawa industrial area in Balotra, work orders worth Rs 7.10 crore were issued on October 9, 2025, for the construction of two factory sheds, and work has commenced. “Financial approval and work orders have also been issued for six additional plug-and-play factory sheds in the same area,” said an official in RIICO.This initiative by RIICO is expected to significantly ease the process of setting up industries, attract fresh investments, and generate large-scale employment opportunities across the state.
