Gorakhpur: The city witnessed a vibrant display of patriotism on Monday as CM Yogi Adityanath led a Tiranga Yatra from the municipal corporation premises to Railway Station Chowk.The 2.5-km route was decked out in the colours of the national flag, with thousands of people waving the Tricolour and raising slogans of “Vande Mataram” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”. School and college students, NCC cadets, representatives of social and trade organisations, and residents from different sections of society participated in the march.The yatra received a warm welcome at 16 locations, where various organisations showered flowers on the participants amid drum beats.Cultural groups also presented performances at eight locations along the route.The procession culminated at the statue of Maharana Pratap near the railway station, where Yogi offered floral tributes and released Tricolour-themed balloons. The striking spectacle prompted residents to capture the procession on their mobile phones and make videos and reels.
