Jaipur: All Coaching Institute Mahasangh Saturday decided to move Supreme Court over the relocation of centres from Gopalpura to Coaching Hub in Pratap Nagar. The body will also seek concessional rates for space at the hub.The federation said coaching operators are willing to shift to the hub, but the current property rates could make it difficult for smaller institutes and students from low-income families to afford coaching. At the meeting, members agreed to seek space at Rs 1,200 to Rs 1,500 per square foot, which they said would be around six times lower than the current rates.The federation also decided to collect affidavits from coaching operators willing to shift to the hub if space is made available either free of cost or at concessional rates. A 10-member core team has been formed to take the matter forward.

The federation said the current rates could significantly increase the cost of coaching for students. It claimed that a small course at the hub could cost around Rs 1.5 lakh, compared with about Rs 30,000 for a similar course in Gopalpura. It said this could particularly affect students from poor and farming families.The federation has also started the process of appointing a free legal counsel to present its case in Supreme Court.The federation said coaching operators in Gopalpura have different positions. Some want to continue there as they own their buildings, while others facing high rents are willing to move to the hub if space is offered free or at a lower rate.The federation will also seek meetings with chief minister and concerned ministers.
