Varanasi: The Fisheries Department has extended the last date for submitting online applications under various state sector schemes for the financial year 2026–27 till August 10. The departmental portal, http://fisheries.up.gov.in, was earlier scheduled to remain open from July 31 to August 5.CEO of Fish Farmers Development Agency, Rajendra Kumar, said the Directorate of Fisheries, UP decided to extend the application window to enable more beneficiaries to apply under various schemes.The schemes include the Mukhyamantri Matsya Sampada Yojana, Scheme for Installation of Aeration System for Intensive Fish Farming, Nishadraj Boat Subsidy Scheme, Moped with Ice Box Project, Cage Installation under the Mata Suketa Women Fish Farmer Empowerment Project in districts with Category I, II and III reservoirs, Construction of New Ponds and First-Year Investment for Fisheries Development in Inland Saline Water Areas, Pearl Culture Scheme, and the Scheme for Establishment of Fish Hatcheries for Specific Species.He said applicants must submit separate applications for each scheme to avail themselves of the benefits. Detailed information regarding project components, unit costs, the application process, required documents and scheme guidelines is available on the departmental portal. Any future amendments to the schemes will be applicable as per the revised provisions.Rajendra Kumar added that applicants whose proposals were rejected or placed on the waiting list in previous years are also eligible to apply afresh.
