Varanasi: Two children drowned in a rainwater-filled pit near an under-construction four-lane road and bridge in Harsinghpur village under the Chetganj police outpost area of Chilh police station in Mirzapur district on Tuesday evening.According to reports, Satyam, 7, along with Kishan, 6, both residents of Harsinghpur village in Chilh police station area in Mirzapur district, drowned in the pit that had been dug along a kutcha road beside the construction site and had filled with rainwater. Chilh police reached the spot and took custody of the bodies and sent them post mortem examination.
