Bengaluru: Motorists travelling through central Bengaluru Tuesday should brace for traffic diversions as police have announced temporary restrictions in view of the Muharram procession scheduled on Aug 4.The procession will be taken out from Johnson Market to Elgin Apartments on Hosur Lashker Road between 1 pm and 5.30 pm.Vehicles from Brigade Road towards Hosur Road via Vellara Junction (Shoolay Circle) will be diverted through old police station Left, Wood Street, Tate Lane, Richmond Road, Richmond Circle, Shanthinagar Junction and Nanjappa Circle. Motorists can then use Langford Road and take a right turn at CMP Jn to reach Hosur Road.Vehicles coming from Hosur Road via Adugodi Jn should take a left near Anepalya Jn and proceed through Cemetery Cross Road, Berlie Street and Langford Road to reach Nanjappa Circle. From there, they can either join Richmond Road or proceed via Shanthinagar Jn.Heavy goods vehicles travelling on Hosur Road will be diverted via Adugodi Jn, Mico Jn, 8th Main, Wilson Garden Main Road, and then towards Siddaiah Road.
