BENGALURU: Nine migrant workers from West Bengal were injured, six of them critically, in a suspected LPG cylinder blast at a paying guest (PG) accommodation in Bengaluru’s Bommasandra area on Thursday morning, police said.The workers, employed with an engineering company, were inside the accommodation when the explosion occurred shortly after they woke up.The incident took place at a PG accommodation in Bommasandra under the Hebbagodi police station limits.According to police, all nine injured workers, who hail from West Bengal, were staying in the same room when the suspected LPG cylinder blast occurred.Police said six of the injured sustained burn injuries covering more than 60 per cent of their bodies.They were shifted to a hospital in Chandapura, where they are undergoing treatment. The condition of the remaining injured workers was not immediately known.Further investigation is underway to ascertain the exact cause and sequence of the incident.(With PTI inputs)
