86 Buses to Connect Varanasi with Vindhyachal during Navratri
The Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) will operate 86 buses from eight depots in the Varanasi region for pilgrims travelling to Vindhyachal Dham. These include 65 additional “Puja Special” buses.

Varanasi: In view of the expected rush of devotees visiting Vindhyachal Dham to offer prayers to Maa Vindhyavasini during Navratri, the Yogi government has made special transport arrangements to ensure smooth travel.The Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) will operate 86 buses from eight depots in the Varanasi region for pilgrims travelling to Vindhyachal Dham. These include 65 additional “Puja Special” buses.On normal days, around 21 buses operate on this route from the Varanasi region. During Navratri, from October 11/12 to October 21, the number of buses will be increased to 86. Additional buses will be operated depending on passenger demand and availability to ensure that devotees from Varanasi and nearby districts do not face inconvenience.Regional Manager Parshuram Pandey said the number of buses had been increased keeping in mind the expected rush of devotees during Navratri. The additional buses will provide direct and convenient transport facilities to pilgrims travelling to Vindhyachal Dham from Varanasi and surrounding districts.The highest number of additional buses will be operated from the Jaunpur depot, which will provide 20 extra buses. The Cantt and Kashi depots will operate 10 additional buses each, while Chandauli will provide eight, Ghazipur two, Sonbhadra 10 and Vindhyanagar five additional buses. The 12 buses already operating from the Rural depot will continue to run on the route.The arrangement will benefit devotees from Varanasi, Jaunpur, Chandauli, Ghazipur, Sonbhadra and nearby areas by ensuring better connectivity to Vindhyachal Dham.For passengers’ convenience, a helpdesk number, 8726005897, has also been issued.
