Hyderabad: Amid the ongoing recruitment drive for 7,437 police posts, chief minister A Revanth Reddy has directed officials to ensure that the selection process is conducted in a transparent, secure and foolproof manner, following intelligence inputs about possible attempts to disrupt the examinations.The chief minister held an emergency meeting with director general of police (DGP) CV Anand and senior police and govt officials after intelligence agencies alerted the govt to alleged efforts by certain political parties and vested interests to interfere with the recruitment process.Revanth instructed officials to strictly adhere to rules and regulations at every stage of the recruitment exercise and ensure there is no scope for irregularities.He emphasised the need for heightened vigilance during the preparation, printing, transportation and handling of question papers. Officials were also directed to strengthen security arrangements at examination centres across the state.He directed the cyber crime department to closely monitor fraudsters who claim they can secure govt jobs for candidates, as well as fake websites and social media accounts used to mislead aspirants.
