71 students part of first BPGP-BA&AI batch at IIM Ah

Ahmedabad: A total of 71 students joined the blended PGP course in business analytics and AI (BPGP-BA&AI) at IIM Ahmedabad (IIM-A) as the course commenced on Thursday. The batch has an average work experience of seven years and has 77% male participants, indicated IIM-A officials. The students come from BFSI, IT, consulting, retail and e-commerce, and biotech healthcare sectors, among others. This inaugural cohort represents a diverse mix of mid-career professionals looking to leverage emerging technologies for strategic decision-making. The program’s flexible format is specifically designed to allow these high-achieving individuals to balance rigorous academic training with their ongoing professional responsibilities.Industry partnership conclave at IIT-GnIIT Gandhinagar (IIT-Gn) will pre-launch three interdisciplinary research clusters at the Industry Partnership Conclave on April 18, said officials. The three clusters include advanced materials, energy, healthcare and MedTech, they added. The initiative is designed to move beyond transactional, project-based engagements towards sustained, co-creative partnerships with industry, said an official. By fostering a specialized ecosystem for innovation, the institute aims to accelerate the translation of laboratory breakthroughs into market-ready solutions. In all, 642 delegates will be part of the initiative, including startups, MSMEs, academia and govt agencies who will explore collaborative funding models and shared infrastructure.
