Five retired education department employees arrested in Ghazipur
Varanasi: Ghazipur Kotwali police arrested five retired education department employees on July 22 for allegedly fraudulently withdrawing pension benefits.According to police, sub-inspector Vijay Kumar and his team arrested the accused during a checking drive at Lanka Bus Stand as part of an ongoing anti-crime campaign.Following the arrests, a case was registered at Kotwali police station under Sections 318(4), 338, 336(3), and 340(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).The arrested persons have been identified as Ghooma Singh Yadav (72), Banwari Singh Yadav (71), Patiraj Ram (67), Dubri Singh Yadav (66), and Ram Awadh Singh Yadav (66).
