Fazilka: A man, his wife and two children suffered burn injuries as he lost control of the motorcycle amid thick smoke and crashed into a roadside field set on fire. The incident happened near Ghurka village in Fazilka district.Veer Singh, a resident of Hazara Ram Singh Wala village, said he, his wife and his children were travelling to his sister-in-law’s house in Hasta village when thick smoke from a roadside stubble fire blinded him.Unable to see through the smoke, Veer said he lost control of the bike, and they crashed into the burning wheat stubble.Apart from burn injuries, Veer suffered a fractured hip, while his wife broke her leg. Both children also suffered burns.With the assistance of passers-by, the injured family members were rushed to the Civil Hospital in Fazilka, where they are currently undergoing treatment.Speaking from the hospital bed, Veer expressed anger against the administration, stating that setting fields on fire was proving to be a deadly hazard for the general public.He said, “If someone among us had been killed in the accident, who would have been held responsible?
