Varanasi: Three persons were killed in separate road accidents in Varanasi and Ghazipur districts.In Varanasi, a 28-year-old man died when his motorcycle hit a stray bull, causing him to fall on the road and sustain serious injuries on Dandupur Ring Road Phase 1 in Dandupur under Shivpur police station area. The injured, Sandeep Kumar of Lodhan village in Shivpur, had gone to his wife’s maternal uncle’s house in Rajatalab to deliver a rakhi. The accident took place in the afternoon, when he was returning home. Some passersby gathered and informed police by calling 112. Police reached the spot and sent injured Sandeep to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Hospital. Doctors declared him dead after examination. Police subsequently sent the body for post-mortem examination.In another road accident, two youths riding a motorcycle were killed after a speeding trailer rammed into their bike near Utrauli village on NH-124C under the Revatipur police station area of Ghazipur on Thursday night.According to Revatipur SHO Raju Diwakar, the deceased were identified as Satish Singh (23) and Lalbahadur Singh (25), both residents of Avati village under Nagarhalt police station. They were returning to their village from Bhadaura via Revatipur when a speeding trailer coming from the opposite direction reportedly went out of control and rammed into their motorcycle near Utrauli village. After hitting the motorcycle, the trailer also crashed into a roadside house.Local residents rushed to the spot and took the injured youths to the medical college hospital, where doctors declared both of them dead. Police reached the spot after receiving information and sent the bodies for postmortem examination.
