Varanasi: Three staff of a model wine shop were caught red handed while selling liquor near Varanasi Junction (Cantt railway station) after closing of the shop on Friday late night. Sigra police also seized huge stock of liquor from them.Station in-charge Shivanand Mishra said police raided the shop in Vijayanagram Market opposite Varanasi Cantt Railway Station after receiving information that the accused were secretly selling liquor in the vicinity of the station after closing their shop.During this raid 35 bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor, 16 bottles of country liquor and 41 cans of beer were recovered in huge quantity.Police said that the accused worked at the same wine shop and before closing of the shop they used to stock liquor bottles at other places to sell it on higher price after the shops are closed.A case was registered against them under sections of Excise Act.
