14 Kannadigas untraced in Nepal, 2 have returned: Chief minister DK Shivakumar

Bengaluru/Delhi: Chief minister DK Shivakumar Sunday said 33 people from Karnataka were in Nepal when devastating floods hit the neighbouring country, of whom 14 remain untraced.“While 14 are still untraced, 19 have been traced. Of them, 2 have returned home,” he told reporters after meeting Karnataka resident commissioner Sameer Shukla.The CM said the state govt is in touch with tour operators and the ministry of external affairs (MEA) to get further details. “We are taking complete responsibility for those stranded. As soon as they return, we will ensure their direct travel to Bengaluru. If they want to stay in Delhi for a day or two to recuperate, we will make the required arrangements,” he said.
