INLD national president Abhay Singh Chautala termed it a “betrayal of youth”, alleging that promises made before elections were not fulfilled after coming to power.Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Randeep Singh Surjewala also criticised the move, calling it a setback for educated youth. He said the scheme had promised employment opportunities and stipends after training, which will now not materialise.Under the scheme, selected candidates were to receive a stipend of Rs 20,000 per month during training, rising to Rs 25,000 after placement. Those unable to secure jobs, with annual income below Rs 3 lakh, were to be given an unemployment allowance of Rs 10,000. Opposition leaders said these assurances now stood withdrawn.
