Kolkata: Kolkata: Police have arrested a youth, Akash Sarkar, on Monday, for allegedly posting objectionable content about CM Suvendu Adhikari on social media. Police said, the arrest was made after a complaint lodged at Nagerbazar PS. Police alleged that Akash had been circulating misleading information about the CM and several BJP leaders on social media over the past few days.“Some of his posts were obscene. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also among those targeted by the accused,” a senior cop of the Barrackpore Commissionerate said.Akash was produced before Barrackpore court on Monday afternoon, which remanded him in three days’ police custody.“We are examining his social media profiles and investigating allegations that he had published similar provocative posts in the past,” the officer added.
