Lucknow: Youth Congress workers were detained in Lucknow on Saturday while marching towards Raj Bhavan to protest against alleged police action against Gen-Z students during a demonstration at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar.The protesters, led by Youth Congress (Central) state president Deepak Shivhare, marched from Parivartan Chowk towards Raj Bhavan via the assembly. Police stopped them near KD Singh Babu Stadium after putting up barricades and detained the protesters.The demonstrators also demanded the resignation of union home minister Amit Shah.UP in charge and national president of Congress SC department, Rajendra Pal Gautam, national secretaries Jagdish Chandra Jangid and Abdul Hannan, MP Rakesh Rathore and former MLC Deepak Singh were among those present during the protest.
