Yogi to lead MGUG’s 5th foundation day celebrations on Aug 28

Gorakhpur: Chief minister and MGUG chancellor Yogi Adityanath will address the university’s fifth foundation day programme on Aug 28, marking the culmination of a week-long series of academic and cultural events that begins on Saturday at Mahayogi Gorakhnath University, Gorakhpur (MGUG).The celebrations will feature a lecture series dedicated to the memory of Yugpurush Brahmaleen Mahant Digvijaynath Ji Maharaj and Rashtrasant Brahmaleen Mahant Avaidyanath Ji Maharaj.The celebrations will also feature a series of literary, cultural and sports competitions for students throughout the week.The inaugural programme on Aug 22 will be attended by Prof Ravishankar Singh, VC of Maa Pateshwari University, Balrampur, as the chief guest. The programme will be presided over by MGUG VC Lieutenant General Bhupesh Kumar Goyal.The week-long lecture series at Mahayogi Gorakhnath University will feature experts from diverse fields, with sessions covering agriculture, healthcare, democracy, pharmaceuticals and artificial intelligence. On Aug 22, Prof Ravishankar Singh will speak on building an innovative India, followed by lectures on self-reliant agriculture and natural farming on Aug 23.The Aug 24 sessions will focus on metabolic changes in viral infections and cancer, and on preventing monsoon-related outbreaks of hepatitis A and E. On Aug 25, speakers will discuss India as the “mother of democracy” and ways to prevent and manage academic stress among students. The Aug 26 sessions will focus on industry-academia collaboration in pharmaceutical and healthcare education and the role of AI in drug discovery. The series will conclude on Aug 27 with discussions on the future of medical education and practice in the era of AI, clinical excellence and the human touch, as well as medical ethics and professionalism in healthcare.
