Lucknow: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday took part in the Shri Krishna Janmashtami celebrations at the Reserve Police Lines in Lucknow, where he greeted police personnel and their families and attended a cultural programme organised to mark the birth of Lord Krishna.He inaugurated the one-day programme by garlanding the idol of Lord Krishna and lighting a ceremonial lamp.During the programme, DGP Rajeev Krishna presented CM Yogi Adityanath with a traditional angavastram and a decorative Kamadhenu cow and calf statue as a memento.Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister extended his greetings and best wishes on the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami to the people of Uttar Pradesh, as well as officers, personnel and their families in the state police.He conveyed his greetings to members of the police force and their families, acknowledging their role and contribution while celebrating the festival with the police fraternity.Following the programme at the Reserve Police Lines, DGP Rajeev Krishna attended another Janmashtami celebration at the Police Telecom Headquarters in Mahanagar, Lucknow.The DGP extended his greetings and best wishes to police personnel across Uttar Pradesh and their family members on the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami.The celebrations at the two police establishments were organised as part of the annual festive programmes held within the police department, bringing together personnel and their families to mark the occasion.
