Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to take ‘the strictest possible action’ against the accused in a case where they beat up a man in Rae Bareli and snatched his money. The case came to light during Janata Darshan on Monday where the victim approached the CM for help.A govt spokesperson said that the elderly man broke down before the CM while showing him his injuries. The man claimed that some people had attacked him without provocation, possibly thinking that the elderly man was an outsider. They beat him up and snatched his money, he claimed. The CM has directed officials to initiate immediate action in the matter.“Peace, prosperity and strong law and order are the identity of a new Uttar Pradesh, and those who obstruct these should be taught a lesson through legal means,” the CM said.Some other people complained of encroachment on their land. The CM said if any influential person has usurped the land of a poor person, strict legal action should be taken against him while the land must be freed from illegal control. He also emphasised quick resolution of revenue-related matters.The CM met all applicants personally and took their applications. While assuring people that their complaints would be addressed at the earliest, the CM directed officials to resolve each issue in a time bound manner.
