Gandhinagar: Union home minister Amit Shah said on Sunday that yoga is India’s invaluable gift to humankind, nourishing holistic well-being. Shah participated in yoga exercises at an event in Ahmedabad to mark International Day of Yoga.Shah later posted pictures of him participating in yoga exercises on his X handle. He wrote, “Yoga is India’s invaluable gift to humankind which nourishes holistic well-being through energising mind, body and soul. Joined millions across the world in Yoga Day celebration by participating in a public yoga session in Ahmedabad.”Deputy chief minister Harsh Sanghavi joined Union home and cooperation Minister Amit Shah and a large number of yoga enthusiasts in a mass yoga session at Prahladnagar garden in western Ahmedabad on Sunday.This year’s theme was “Yoga for healthy aging” and a large number of events were organised across the state. The Gujarat govt claimed that more than 1.25 crore citizens took part in the events held to celebrate the day.
