Noida: Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is preparing to launch two residential plot schemes during the Navratri festival in Oct.One scheme will be for the low-income group category while the other will be open to the general public. In the first category, the plot size will be 40 sqm while in the second category it will range from 162 to 300 sqm.Authority is planning to introduce a new eligibility rule for the scheme. Applicants who have already been allotted a residential plot under any previous scheme of Noida Authority, Greater Noida Authority or YEIDA will not be eligible to ensure a fair chance for other aspirants. These plots will be launched in Sector 5-A near Noida International Airport.Shailendra Bhatia, additional CEO of YEIDA, said that Authority is finalising details for this scheme. “The number of plots and other details will be decided soon,” he said. The allotment rate of residential sectors in the Yamuna Authority area is Rs 36,260 per sqm.In June, Yamuna Authority allotted 973 residential plots through a draw near Noida International Airport. The scheme, announced in April, offered 973 residential plots and attracted 1,10,034 valid applications.The Yamuna Authority area has witnessed a sharp rise in demand for residential plots following the operationalisation of Noida International Airport. Flight operations began on June 15, while the cargo terminal became functional on June 17, significantly boosting investor confidence and real estate activity.Improved air connectivity, better logistics infrastructure and the prospect of large-scale industrial and commercial development have made the region an attractive destination for both homebuyers and investors.
