Kolkata: A women’s police station will be set up in every subdivision of the state as part of a renewed focus on safety and security, women and child development and social welfare minister Agnimitra Paul said on Tuesday after taking charge of the department.“Women can’t go out of their house after 8 pm, police stations will not take complaints, such days are over. It will be ensured that no one can look at all mothers and sisters with an evil eye. The safety and dignity of women is our topmost priority. We will take strict steps and punishment for any misconduct,” she said.“There will be no cover-up of any incident involving misconduct against women,” she added. The minister also underscored the govt’s stance against corruption and environmental violations.
