Navi Mumbai: A delegation of women’s organisation staged a protest outside the Kharghar residential building of stand-up comedian Pranit More on Sunday evening after the ‘Rs 370 chicken biryani’ controversy at his show in Gurgaon last month became viral on social media in the first week of June, wherein Pranit More glorified the non-consensual content of a story shared by a 23-year-old Himanshu Jangra among the audience during interaction by circulating it through his social media account. Himanshu Jangra narrated that he spent ₹370 on a chicken biryani date and explicitly said, “Maine kaha ki Rs 370 lage hain to use to wasool to karunga hi” (I spent ₹370, so I will definitely recover it).As a mark of protest, the women activists even brought a parcel of chicken biryani to hand over to More at his apartment.
