Woman kills husband with lover’s help, both held

Shimla: The Solan police have arrested a woman, along with her lover, for allegedly murdering her husband in Johar Patiala village of Bohli panchayat of Kasauli tehsil on the night of July 4.The victim, Rup Lal, 30, hailed from Nepal, and his 26-year-old wife, Chandra Chalawane, is also a Nepalese citizen. The alleged lover, Chakra Bahadur, 35, also hails from Nepal.According to the police, the wife killed her husband by slitting his throat with a knife with the help of her lover. The duo, in an attempt to destroy evidence, allegedly dumped the body in bushes about 500 meters away from the house. The police also recovered the knife used in the murder.On Sunday morning, locals found the body in the bushes and immediately informed the police. Police reached the spot, inspected the scene, recovered the body, and sent it for post-mortem examination.Based on forensic evidence collected from the scene, the police detained the deceased’s wife and her lover for questioning and later arrested them.
