Vasco: Vasco police have registered an offence against some unidentified accused for dishonestly publishing and circulating false electronic posters as genuine on various social media handles, thereby defaming and harming the reputation of a woman and a minister in the state cabinet.The police have withheld the name of a woman who has lodged her complaint.It was alleged that on Sep 19, the unidentified accused person created a false electronic poster/document containing the image of the complainant and a minister in the cabinet along with congratulatory content mentioning that they are legally hitched.The accused, with the intention that the forged electronic poster would harm the reputation of the complainant, dishonestly published and circulated the same as genuine on various social media handles, thereby defaming and harming the reputation of the complainant.Vasco police have registered the case under relevant provisions of the BNS.
