Will prioritise people’s issues, agitations: KTR | Hyderabad News



Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Monday stated that the party will prioritise agitations, people’s issues and the unfulfilled promises made by the Congress govt. He announced that BRS will soon appoint new committees.Addressing a press conference after BRS state executive meeting, held on the occasion of the party’s foundation day, KTR said: “KCR (K Chandrasekhar Rao) provided comprehensive guidance to the party’s state committee today.” KTR also mentioned that BRS would initiate protests regarding the Congress govt’s failure in paddy procurement, as the procurement centres were not functioning properly. He pointed out that while Telangana was once predicted to fail, it was brought to the forefront during the BRS’s tenure, whereas the Congress govt was making the state No.1 in chaos.KTR expressed the party’s concern that the NDA govt purposely combined the women’s reservation bill with delimitation, showing no intention to pass the bill. “The BRS govt in the past had resolved in the assembly to seek the implementation of the women’s reservation bill, and we hope the Centre will soon implement these reservations,” he added.Calling on party cadre to actively engage in SIR, he stated: “This should be taken very seriously. Due to our representations in the past, some positive changes were made by Election Commission. As we reorganise committees starting from the booth level, our agents will be instructed to remain vigilant,” KTR told media.In response to chief minister Revanth Reddy’s comments claiming that BRS has reached its expiry date, KTR alleged that Revanth only knows how to make personal attacks and use abusive language. “In reality, he has an identity crisis. He is anxious, hoping KCR might mention his name at least once, but KCR doesn’t even acknowledge him,” the former minister stated.No comments on KavithaResponding to a question about TRS being launched by Kavitha and her remarks, he said, “Many parties come, and many people talk about KCR daily. We don’t have the time to respond to all of them; we have a lot of work to do.”To strengthen BRS at the grassroots level and with an eye on the upcoming MPTC, ZPTC elections, party supremo KCR has made a significant decision to dissolve all committees. He would continue only with the state committee, appointing a state-level leader to oversee the districts. After other committees are appointed, the state committee would also be dissolved.In addition to dissolving the old committees, affiliated associations have also been disbanded. The party plans to start a membership registration programme in June, which will be conducted both manually and digitally.
