Varanasi: An enthusiastic crowd comprising people of all ages could be seen gathering on both banks of Ganga, watching Indian Air Force’s air show that began on Thursday.Shweta Poddar, getting her photo clicked at a selfie point with her relative Asha Agarwal, said, “Even though we are both 76, we reached Namo Ghat without any difficulty and watched the air show. Seeing the fighter jets perform made us feel proud and the arrangements made for senior citizens were commendable.”Another spectator, Suman, said, “The roar of the aircraft made us feel the strength of the nation. Chants of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ were echoing everywhere. It felt wonderful to see such an event in Kashi.”Student Om Singh Rawani said, “Watching the fighter planes perform inspired me to join the Indian Air Force and serve the country.”Student Aryan said, “The air show motivated us to aim high and join the armed forces.” Schoolchildren described the event as an experience they would remember for a lifetime.
