Hyderabad: Excise minister Jupally Krishna Rao on Friday rejected the BRS’s allegations that the Congress govt was neglecting irrigation needs in chief minister A Revanth Reddy’s native Palamuru region, asserting that water releases to irrigation projects were being regulated solely on the basis of reservoir inflows and technical assessments by irrigation authorities.Addressing a press conference at the secretariat, Jupally said deficient rainfall and its impact on water availability had necessitated careful and scientific reservoir management.He said water from the Priyadarshini Jurala Project was being released to the Nettempadu, Bhima and Koilsagar projects in accordance with approved operational plans and the inflows available at the reservoirs.
