Jaipur: Two employees of a govt senior secondary school in Baran’s Kishanganj have been attached to District Education Officer’s office pending an inquiry after a 25-second video allegedly showing them engaged in “objectionable activities” during school hours went viral.An order issued by the District Education Officer (Secondary), Baran, Monday named Simran Kalra, an English lecturer, and Akshat Vaishnav, a laboratory assistant, both posted at Govt Senior Secondary School, Kishanganj.The undated clip, shot from a distance, shows three people sitting in a room. Kalra is seen playfully kicking Vaishnav with her feet, following which there is a burst of laughter. Officials confirmed that the action against the two employees was initiated after the video surfaced.The development comes days after an incident in Alwar in which a school principal was found bathing with schoolgirls in a dam. The principal was subsequently suspended.The Baran education department, however, has not drawn any conclusion on the allegations against the two employees. Its order states that the video had gone viral and that the two were allegedly seen engaging in objectionable activities during school hours.Pending the inquiry, both employees have been directed to report to DEO (Secondary), Baran, at 9.30am on Aug 25. The school principal has been asked to ensure compliance with the order.The department has not provided details about when or by whom the video was recorded, or how it was circulated. It is also yet to establish whether the conduct shown in the clip amounts to any violation of service rules.The two employees will appear before the department as part of the inquiry. Their attachment to the DEO office will continue pending the outcome of the probe, following which the department is expected to decide on further action.
