Katwa: Vigilantes on Tuesday morning allegedly thrashed four men ferrying cattle at Madhaitala in Katwa subdivision of East Burdwan district. Police later arrested the four men and seized the cattle.According to police, the four men were transporting five cattle, for farming purposes, when they were intercepted by a group claiming to be BJP supporters. The group demanded documents related to the cattle and thrashed the men after they failed to produce any papers.The arrested were identified as Sujauddin Sk, Rahim Sk and Sahidullah Sk of Nakasipara in Nadia, and Salam Ansari of Katwa in East Burdwan. They will be produced before the Katwa court on Wednesday.
