Vasco: Cortalim MLA Anton Vas has termed the ongoing Velsao protest a “carnival float”, alleging it has been politicised.GFP president Vijai Sardesai and former Congress president Amit Patkar have backed the protest and demanded Vas’s resignation, questioning his absence.Vas said most protesters were not locals and that right-of-way (RoW) issues were being mixed with double-tracking.Vas maintained he opposed double-tracking and had helped construct pathways for affected residents.
