Kolkata: Chairman of Singapore-based Universal Success Enterprises, Prasoon Mukherjee, met CM Suvendu Adhikari on Monday and expressed interest in investing in a logistics park. Mukherjee, also the chairman of the Singapore Business Federation (India Business Council), discussed other possible investment avenues with the CM.Mukherjee told TOI that USEL was keen to invest in Bengal. He said that the group was developing industrial parks across India and will develop sustainable projects focused on India achieving its 2030 carbon neutrality targets. Speaking on his meeting with Adhikari, Mukherjee said, “I am overwhelmed to see that CM is so keen and determined to bring back old glory of Bengal. We are confident that under his leadership, Bengal will witness a new dawn.“Later, CM Adhikari posted on X: “It was a pleasure meeting Prasoon Mukherjee, who paid a courtesy visit today at Nabanna. Looking forward to fostering impactful collaborations like this for exploring potential avenues of growth and strategic development that can create opportunities and build a brighter future for the People of West Bengal.”As SBF chairman, Mukherjee had earlier invited members of the CII state council to visit Singapore and explore possibilities of investment in Bengal.USEL, a diversified conglomerate operating in the fields of mega-township development, industrial & logistics parks, data centers, business & IT parks, coal mining & renewable energy as well as hospitality across South East Asia, has investment exposure in Gujarat, Haryana, Assam and Uttar Pradesh. It has recently announced investment of Rs 13,000 crore in Haryana. It has also proposed to establish a state-of-the-art logistics park in Assam. USEL is developing a 500MW solar park in Gujarat along with an industrial park and in UP, it is setting up data centre and industrial parks.
