Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation (UPSTDC) announced the rollout of a day-long guided tour of Ayodhya’s prominent religious landmarks from Nov 1 here on Friday.Offering visitors a convenient way to explore sites associated with the 14 Kosi Parikrama, the package called ‘Ayodhya Divine Heritage Trail’ will begin at Lata Mangeshkar Chowk and cover Ramayan Wax Museum, Surya Kund, Girija Kund, Panchmukhi Mahadev Temple, Guptar Ghat, Jhunki Ghat, Lakshman Kila, Sheshavatar Temple, Swargdwar, Ram Ki Paidi and Nageshwarnath Temple. It will conclude with the Sarayu Aarti and the visitors can disperse from Lata Mangeshkar Chowk again.Tourism and culture minister Jaiveer Singh said the initiative aimed to make Ayodhya’s spiritual heritage more accessible while strengthening its place on the Ramayana Circuit.The guided tour would be particularly useful for senior citizens and persons with disabilities who may find it difficult to undertake the journey independently, said an official while advising interested persons to visit the departmental website for further details.
