Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) has selected 70 officers from the corporation and its affiliated power companies for a two-year blended MBA programme at the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, for the 2026-28 academic session.The initiative was taken under the direction of UPPCL chairman Ashish Kumar Goel. Director (Personnel and Management) Jan Mathai issued the office order announcing the selection.The programme aims to strengthen the managerial skills, leadership abilities and efficiency of officers working in the power sector. During the course, the selected officers will receive training in modern management techniques, strategic decision-making, leadership development and organisational management.UPPCL officials said the programme would help officers tackle emerging challenges in the electricity sector, improve efficiency and encourage innovation. The initiative is part of the corporation’s focus on continuous capacity building and professional development.The corporation expects the training to create a future-ready leadership pool, improve the functioning of power utilities and contribute to better electricity management and consumer services across Uttar Pradesh.
