Ghaziabad: The state real estate regulator (UP-Rera) has approved 13 projects worth Rs 2,380 crore across six districts, adding 4,724 residential and commercial units. Of these, three projects worth an estimated Rs 286 crore are to come up in Ghaziabad and two others worth around Rs 186 crore are proposed in Noida.According to officials, Ghaziabad will get two commercial and one residential project, together comprising 864 units. In Noida, one residential and commercial projects each will add 564 units.The two NCR cities have continued to dominate the state’s real estate market, accounting for 60% of the state’s total investment in the first half of the year, according to UP-Rera’s half-yearly report. Of the total 143 projects worth Rs 31,952 crore approved across the state during this period, 27 are in Noida and 19 in Ghaziabad, an official said.Together, the two districts attracted investments of Rs 19,000 crore — Rs 15,678 crore in Noida and Rs 3,989 crore in Ghaziabad — and will add around 22,660 housing units, or 49% of all units approved statewide. Of this, Noida will add 13,160 units and Ghaziabad 9,500.UP-Rera chairperson Sanjay Bhoosreddy said timely approval of projects, along with effective monitoring, has helped create a better environment for both homebuyers and promoters in the state, he said.
